Makeshift Company is a Toronto based musical theatre company aiming to facilitate the expansion of the Canadian musical theatre canon by developing and deepening new works in the early stages of development. Highlighting Queer stories, young writers, and original narratives, Makeshift’s focus is on independently producing and developing new musicals, building a strong artistic community, and expanding the reach of musical theatre in Toronto.
